Sharp has announced a series of two new AQUOS Blu-ray recorder

Company Sharp has announced a series of two new AQUOS Blu-ray recorder BD-HDW55 and BD-HDW53, which are equipped with hard drives and can record two simultaneous broadcast in HD resolution. 

Model BD-HDW55 and BD-HDW53 accommodate, respectively, 500 and 320 GB of data and use a new method of re-encoding, allowing you to quickly save to your hard drive telecast in HD in uncompressed form. Devices are also equipped with the technology reduces noise to increase the image quality. 

Recorders are equipped with analog and two digital tuners and can play and record video in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 and MPEG2 AAC, as well as audio in Dolby Digital. New reproduce content from the optical disk BD-R/RE, DVD-R/RW, DVD-R DL. 

Sharp BD-HDW55 and Sharp BD-HDW53 will be available in Japan in April for $ 1200 and $ 1090 respectively. Plans to sell units in other regions are not reported.
