MTS will release its own Tablet PC

The domestic mobile operator MTS plans to introduce on June 19 at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, a prototype of its own tablet PC running the operating system Android.

The developers intend to equip the gadget 7-inch touch screen, WLAN and 3G Wi-Fi, pre-installed navigation services company and a platform MTS 360, which will combine social networking, email services, mobile applications and content. Work unit will be only with SIM cards MTS.

Although the tablet is released under the MTS brand, the immediate assembly of the gadget will be engaged in Taiwanese companies. Now the operator is in talks with companies Foxconn and Pegatron. The first shipment will not exceed 10 thousand copies.

In the sale of the tablet will go in the fourth quarter of this year. VimpelCom and MegaFon, incidentally, is also going to release its own tablet later this year.
