ASUS Eee Reader DR900 - e-book with a 9-inch touch screen


ASUS has announced a new device for reading electronic books Eee Reader DR900, equipped with 9-inch touch screen with 1024 x 768 pixels. The model is equipped with 2 gigabytes of internal memory, enough to store about 5,000 books in various digital formats.
Extremely low power new e-book Eee Reader required electrophoresis display technology with SiPix, which consumes energy only when needed to change the image on the screen. The developers also argue that the text is well visible even in bright sunlight.
The gadget provides access to online stores electronic texts with a web browser based on WebKit and built-in Wi-Fi and 3G (optional). Model works under the operating system Linuh.
The model is equipped with a 3.5-mm audio jack, built-in stereo connector, Micro USB (USB 2.0), memory card slot Micro SD.
In standalone mode, the gadget can work for up to 4 days with the included wireless module and up to 2 weeks - with disabled wireless module. At full charge takes about 4 hours.
With the overall 222h161h9, 7 mm and weighs approximately 473 grams of novelty.
